About Flight Dynamics

H-ELITE is designed around a real-time simulation engine that runs at 60 frames per second. The helicopter flight dynamics model which is integrated into the H-ELITE core is based on blade element theory (like what you would find in a level D flight sim). We break down the rotor into finite elements and compute aerodynamic forces on each element. In this way we're able to calculate rotor thrust, torque, induced speed, and a lot of other data that influence the flight dynamics.

That means that you are able to perform aerobatics, loops, rolls, hammerheads, precision hovering & landings on objects, backward flight, lateral translation, etc.

We also integrated an autopilot simulation model that can be used in two modes: auto hovering or attitude hold. This is very useful when you want to focus on your mission and combat actions.
